Clothing and Drapery
This is a 30 minute drawing of a female figure wearing clothing which is draped. Pastels have been used on a coloured background to show how the light was shining on the model and the drapery. The proportion in the image is good because measurement was used and one cold and one cool colour were used to help show the light better. At this angle the light is shining on most of the models body that can be seen but there are some tonal changes and some areas which are dark blue to show the shadows. There are subtle tonal changes on the face, especially on the nose, where the highlights are the strongest because of the light. There is also some on the right arm, left knee, the chest and some on the left arm. The model is sitting on a table which also has some drapery and parts of it are also catching the light. There is some foreshortening in the drawing and this can be seen on the arms. The left arm of the model is foreshortened because it is further away and also because of the angle it is positioned.
