Skies
This is a 30 minute drawing of a skyline using pastels. There are different tonal values in this drawing because of the cloudy day and because different colours have been mixed together. The large white area at the bottom is a focal point as the light was coming through the clouds and also because part of it is in the rule of thirds. There are some changes in hue on the right side of the image between the black, grey and white because of the blending in the colours. Also the image is saturated with grays and with the hue there are some lines that have been created in the clouds.
