Interiors
This is a 90 minute drawing of some classic interior architecture of Bradford cathedral done using graphite. The main focal point of this drawing is the pillars and the arch above the alter. This area is also in the rule of thirds and also the stone is also a point of interest because it is in the rule of thirds as well as having many different tonal values in the shading. There is an implied line from the arch in the middle coming along and down to the pillars and then traveling up along the larger arch on the right. There is also another implied line in the corner on the left of the large arch because of the shading it cannot be seen otherwise. Another area of interest is the alter because it is drawn in detail and also because it is next to the other focal point which is the pillars. There is a good sense of impressionism in the stonework because not all have them have been drawn. There is also another implies line in the background behind the middle arch because of the different tonal values and the line curves around the wood and stone in the arch in the background and goes towards the pillars. The shading in the background also adds some depth to the drawing and makes the eyes end up at the arch and pillars. There are also some highlights on the pillars which make them stand out and also because the shading on them so they show 3 dimensional form. The horizon line is at the bottom of the page and there are multiple vanishing points and orthogonal lines. One orthogonal line travels from the top of the middle arch down to the right to the vanishing point which is off the page.
