Colour In Skin
This is a 45 minute drawing of a female model. Skin is very important and many different colours are used to draw it. A Variety of pastels were used in this image. There was a coloured filter on the light and so different colours have been used to create the skin. Different colours have been blended together to help create the skin colour and to show where the light is shining and where the shadows are cast on the body. There are some areas where there is a lot of shadow like on the models left arm and left and this has a darker colour because it works in harmony with the other colours =. There is also a background which drawing on the model stand out more because it is a darker colour and also because of the paper colour. The creases in the skin on the top of the thigh, the side of the body and the back of the right arm help to give the model form as it separates different body parts. There is also a strong highlight at the back of the table where the light is shining where as the rest is in the shade because of the model.
